GDPR quick guide

A practical GDPR starting point for branch admins. This is product guidance, not legal advice: your gym remains responsible for its own legal basis, notices, retention policy, and local counsel where needed.

Know the roles

Your branch is usually the data controller for athlete, guardian, membership, attendance, and billing data. Compteam acts as a processor for the platform data it hosts and processes on your behalf.

Publish clear notices

Keep your terms and privacy information clear before athletes register. Explain what data you collect, why you need it, who receives it, and how members can exercise access, export, correction, and erasure rights.

Use the built-in records

Compteam stores registration acceptance, consent records, guardian signatures, membership state, invoices, payment references, and audit trails so you can answer common data-subject and compliance questions faster.

Limit access and exports

Give staff only the role they need, review branch-admin access regularly, export personal data only for a real operational or legal purpose, and erase profiles only when retention obligations allow it.
